In the beginning...

For years, I have been working on fantasy sci-fi stories. My mind has always been filled with endless ideas and dreams that I want put together into a wonderful piece of story, one that would touch and make a print on lives - and share it with as many fractions of the world as possible.

Stories after stories, I realised that perhaps graphic novels would be able to express my stories better; thus deciding to put all that I have into producing a manga (漫画), or basically, just a comic/graphic novel with influences from Japanese artists/mangaka (漫画家)。

Since entering medical school, I have decided that I will produce a completed fantasy medical sci-fi manga - one with a proper settings and characters that are not too far-feteched, one that would be 'intellectual' enough to reflect its creation by a medical student. In doing so, I need to research on the sciences behind plot settings that I wish to bring in. I need to ensure that all characters are realistic, with flaws and believavle growths and development. Every single interactions and advancements need to be logical and applicable to the real life. I want the readers to be able to relate to the stories, and be more captivated.

However, barely working on the sciences and logics behind won't make my story appeal to readers. I need a plot, a climax, good and likable/hatable characters... things that make a story a good story. Not everyone can do that, and I'm definitely no expert. And thus, I started to ask around for opinions and comments. This has been going on for 2 years, though not continuously or intensively...

And now... I've finally decided to put an end to passive approaches and push for actions - to start working on the sketching, paneling, inking... you get the ideas - the actual production of the manga.

I shall post the basic story settings up soon, and please... critics and comments are much appreciated.

Character concepts and designs will be posted one by one, with 4-5 characters which I would like input from potential future readers from SGUL - as I would like to include real persons into the story. Confused? Perhaps you won't be after reading the basic story plot.
