When Memories Fade Away

Initially titled When Memories Fade Away, I have decided that a title too long would make it inconvenient for people to remember, as well as making it hard to design the logo. And thus - today's title of Fading Memories was created.

Fading Memories follows a relatively stereotypical sci-fi time travel plot of 4-5 youngsters being teleported to the future. Sounds very cliché? I can't say it's not. You probably guessed it - these youngsters are medical students - preferably in final years, or those doing research-based studies, though it's not really a fixed rule. The 'probably non-negotiable rule' of these characters would be that these characters will be from different ethnicities and personalities ^_~

Man-made turbulent time flow caused chaos and collisions, and these unfortunate youngsters were dragged along, stuck in the parallel universe of time flow for weeks before finally escaping from the dimension - into almost half a millennium in the future.

If you half-expect the future to be 'futuristic' or star war-like, I'm sorry to disappoint you but this story takes a different turn. A reverse, in fact. They found themselves split up, in a world post World War III.

In a time far away from theirs, these youngsters found themselves to be attached to sanity and realistic only by a thin thread of faith. Fighting within themselves to accept the truth of reality, yet having to continuously struggle physically and psychological with the existences of the future; for the world arrive in, is a world like none of them have ever known.

These few youngsters who held very different believes and views, had to learn to put aside personal interests and their differences to survive the obstacles after obstacles placed for them. Gradually but definitely more progressive than ever would if they were to remain in the past, these youngsters matured and grew more capable. These 'used-to-be doctors-to-be' slowly opened their eyes to what it meant to be doctors, one who held the responsibilities to save others' lives in their hands.

In midst of all chaos, new friendships were formed. Joining up with a young man from future, they slowly learn of the time they were in, rescuing friends, trying to save mankind, and ultimately, trying to go back to the past - to the time and space where they truly belonged, before their memories of their original time become a mere shadow of the past...
